What is Connext Express?
Connext Express is a free, self-service version of RTI Connext that is designed for small systems. With Connext Express, you get long-term access to RTI’s robust product to quickly begin using the best of the best.
Upon download, you'll start with an evaluation version of RTI Connext Professional. After the trial period, the installation will automatically transition to Connext Express without any time restrictions.

What Does “Capped System Size” Mean?
Connext Express provides connectivity for up to a certain number of key components within your system. Specifically:
Domain Participants: The "applications" that need data
Writers and Readers: The entities that send and receive data
These limits are designed to provide a functional experience for small systems. The limits are defined by your Activation Key. When running an application using Connext Express, you’ll see a printed message specifying the supported system size.
What If I Need More?
If you outgrow Connext Express, you can simply upgrade your license and relink your applications to RTI’s commercial version for unlimited scale, world-class customer support, and regular maintenance. RTI makes upgrading easy. Reach out to express@rti.com to learn more.
