RTI Announces New Service to Help Organizations Create and Accelerate Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Systems
Industrial IoT FastTrax to Provide Direct Access to Engineering Expertise, Technology, Industry Standards and Leadership
SUNNYVALE, Calif.—March 10, 2015—Real-Time Innovations (RTI), the Industrial Internet of Things connectivity platform company, today introduced a new service, the RTI Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) FastTrax. Industrial IoT FastTrax will help companies capitalize on the economic growth and environmental impact of the exploding Industrial Internet. According to GE and others, the Industrial IoT will add over $10 trillion to global GDP over the next 20 years. This growth will drive change across industries. The RTI Industrial IoT FastTrax service gives companies tailored recommendations and guidance to transform existing solutions or introduce new offerings that take advantage of Industrial IoT opportunities.
RTI is a leading member of the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), with active roles on the architecture, security, data management, use case, and steering committees. RTI's Industrial IoT FastTrax program includes a wide range of services, including: determining the most effective and appropriate connectivity standards, leveraging the IIC's advanced architectural guidance, achieving cloud integration, implementing end-to-end security, and meeting business objectives.
In the Industrial IoT FastTrax program, experienced RTI engineers will navigate companies through the emerging Industrial IoT alliances, consortia, protocols and standards. RTI will leverage the company's time-tested engagement model and explore both existing and emerging use-cases, identifying system requirements, operational behavior, and business drivers. Emerging consortia guidance, IIC published reference architectures, testbed activities, and endorsed standards will also be factored in. Finally, RTI will produce tailored recommendations focused on helping companies blueprint their Industrial IoT architecture, enabling them to achieve a competitive advantage, increase operational efficiency, and realize new revenue streams.
"At RTI, we've been developing systems built for mission-critical distributed industrial applications since before the Industrial IoT name was coined," said Stan Schneider, CEO of RTI and Steering Committee Member of the IIC. "We have first-hand experience architecting these systems with the performance, reliability, scalability and security that the Industrial IoT requires. We're now taking this experience and making it available for other companies to leverage."
"We've been working with the RTI Services team for several years, and have found them to always deliver very high value," said Wayne Saari, Director of Software Engineering at DocBox, Inc. "Their engineers have demonstrated the ability to grasp the big picture architecturally, listen well, and work seamlessly with both our architects and developers to help us successfully develop our next generation systems. As a result of their extensive experience and deep distributed system expertise, they've been instrumental in helping us meet our milestones and timelines."
"Our goal with the Industrial IoT FastTrax program is to help companies make sense of the Industrial Internet and establish a competitive advantage," said Mark Hamilton, Senior Director of Services at RTI. "RTI's first-hand experience working on prominent Industrial IoT projects with top, early adopters in the healthcare, energy, heavy machinery, transportation and defense sectors will provide valuable guidance for companies planning to capitalize on this growing technology trend."
