Largest Gathering of Top Decision Makers in the World Building the Industrial Internet of Things
SUNNYVALE, Calif.—September 16, 2014—Real-Time Innovations (RTI), the real-time Industrial Internet of Things communications platform company, today announced its London Connext Conference 2014, which will take place October 8-9. The conference will be the largest gathering of technical software developers, designers and decision makers in the world focused on building intelligent systems using RTI Connext DDS.
The Connext Conference will kick off on October 8 with Connext DDS Developer Day, a user group event. Expert DDS users will have the opportunity to network with other developers, share experiences and gather valuable insights. Bryn Balcombe, Technology Director of London Live, will give the keynote presentation, "How Industrial Internet Technologies and Protocols will Change the Way We Experience Live Events – in the Venue, in the Home, and on Your Phone." Additionally, there will be customer demonstrations and showcases from the following RTI customers:
- Glynn Beeken, Software Architect, Rolls-Royce: Presentation on Graphical Modeling of DDS Network Design
- Constantin Brueckner, Hardware-in-the-Loop Department, AUDI AG: Presentation on Application of DDS on modular Hardware-in-the-loop Test benches
- Johnny Willemsen, CTO, Remedy IT: Demonstration on Component Based DDS Using C++11
- Lin Jiang, Senior Lecturer, University of Liverpool: Demonstration on Application of DDS on the Smart Grid
- Daniel Gavrila, Senior Software Engineer, Selex ES GMBH: Demonstration on Weather Information System for Airport Decision Support
- Kevin Loos, Software Engineer: Demonstration on Python/ DDS Bindings
"I am very excited to host this event in London because our users are our most inspirational source of knowledge and experience," said Bettina Swynnerton, EMEA Sales Manager at RTI. "Users add the pragmatics and real-life constraints to our software that a final system needs. To see them speak openly about the use of our software is always a great experience. RTI will be presenting demos, talks, information and advice, but it is the exchange between our users that we mainly seek to facilitate."
On October 9, day two of the conference, RTI technical experts and users will discuss the challenges of building intelligent, scalable, and secure distributed systems. Topics to be covered include standards for development of IIoT systems, technical challenges in architecting intelligent distributed systems, and using Connext DDS to meet your security requirements.
Attendees are invited to attend their day of choice, or the full conference. Additional information and a full schedule for the conference can be found on the RTI website. To register for this free event, please visit: http://bit.ly/1rWzI2k
