RTI Presents "Blueprint for the Industrial Internet of Things" Complimentary Webinar
Industrial Internet Consortium Executives, Including RTI CEO, Stan Schneider, Discuss Data Centricity Use Cases and Their Vision for the IIoT
SUNNYVALE, Calif.—April 21, 2015—Real-Time Innovations (RTI), the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) connectivity platform company, today announced it is hosting a complimentary webinar, "Blueprint for the Industrial Internet of Things." The webinar partners fellow Industrial Internet Consortium leaders, Dr. Richard Soley, Executive Director of the Industrial Internet Consortium and Paul Didier, Solutions Architect Manager, System's Internet of Things Group at Cisco, with RTI CEO, Dr. Stan Schneider. The Industrial Internet Consortium leaders will discuss data centricity, an architectural feature of the Consortium's recently-released initial guidance to enable the IIoT vision.
The development of the IIoT will be the most important transformation of our time. The basic technical premise is simple: that a common architecture can connect sensor to cloud, power to factory, and cities to medical services. An infrastructure bridging these domains would impact industry as profoundly as the enterprise Internet impacted business across verticals.
Of course, the hard question is how, or even if, this is possible.
Data-centric communications connect individual machines together into large-scale intelligent systems that can perform functions that were not possible before. This free webinar will review successful use cases in medical, power, transportation and industrial control applications. Learning from these applications, the proposed controlled, secure data sharing promises a new era of connectivity that can unify systems top to bottom and across industries.
