IDIQ Contracts: The Facts

Indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts provide for an indefinite quantity of services for a fixed time. They are used when the U.S. government’s General Services Administration cannot determine, above a specified minimum, the precise quantities of supplies or services that the government will require during the contract period. IDIQs help streamline the contract process and speed service delivery [Source: US GSA website, including the comprehensive list of contracts].

The IDIQ contracts RTI has been awarded help us provide our customers with innovative technology at a faster pace and lower cost.

 

RTI’s IDIQ Awards

What does RTI bring to the table? Our product, RTI Connext, is a proven, flexible and open-standards-based software connectivity framework that offers powerful multi-domain security capabilities. These capabilities can help support and accelerate data-centric communication to meet the needs of new and innovative U.S. government programs. We are proud to share that RTI has competed for and won the following recent IDIQ awards:

1. In January 2023, RTI was awarded an Architecture and Integration Directorate Multiple Award IDIQ contract (AFLCMC/XA).
   
   Through this contract, RTI is eligible to compete for orders for the development of innovative approaches that bring multi-domain systems capabilities, the characterization of new technologies and systems through studies, recurrent demonstration and rapid development to enable rapid prototyping, and test and capability transition. Under this IDIQ, the location of work performance will be determined at the contract delivery order level and is expected to be completed by December 2032.
   
   RTI is honored to support the Air Force’s mission in developing solutions that address Warfighter needs.
   
   
2. In July 2022, RTI was awarded an IDIQ from the U.S. Air Force to support Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2).
   
   Through this contract, RTI is eligible to compete for orders for the maturation, demonstration and proliferation of capability across platforms and domains. The contract will leverage open systems design, modern software and algorithm development to enable Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2). Under this IDIQ, work will be performed in locations to be determined at the contract direct order level and is expected to be completed by May 28, 2025.
