In this medical robotics demonstration, MedAcuity utilizes RTI Connext to securely transport the data from a real-time QNX remote controller client to a KUKA LBR MED robot arm. Authorized data is rapidly transmitted via the DDS publish/subscribe protocol, while unauthorized data is not accepted, keeping bad actors out and ensuring system security. Individually, these products demonstrate effectiveness in their own right, but when paired together, provide a platform that accelerates performance while simultaneously increasing safety, security and reliability for medical robotics.
